Dave Sanchez, Founder and
Creative Director |
He sold bathroom tissue using a lullaby. Sold potatoes showing them wearing funny nose glasses. And he sold an airline by putting a smile on it's planes.
Not exactly what you'd call by-the-book solutions. But then, one doesn't earn the reputation Dave has by playing strictly by the book.
Dave's 35 + year career has seen him serve in senior creative slots in such agencies as Gross, Pera & Rockey; Young & Rubicam; J. Walter Thompson and Ketchum Advertising. His work on such accounts as Toyota, The Beef Council, The Potato Board, Hunt/Wesson Foods, PSA Airlines, Clorox and many others, has earned Dave every major advertising award, from New York Art Director's Club to Best in the West, from Clio's to ANDY's. Recently his advertising work on Freixenet Sparkling Wine and label design for Zingaro Wine has won International Mobius Awards. |
Scott Guisti, Production Manager,
Chief Graphic Wrangler |
You'd think Scott was in the Marines. Talk about a 'GET IT DONE, NOW AND RIGHT' kind of guy... His attitude to getting a job done is compared to an orchestrated invasion.
Scott has 13 years working as a productions manager with Dave Sanchez. And over the years he has honed his skills in production, design and illustration, not to mention his patience and understanding of the pressures in our business.
Scott is a runner, and has competed in long distance runs and relays (probably his way of working off the stress). His wife, Ann, and sports-active teenage daughters reside in Walnut Creek. Not that he has much free time, but every year he travels to Mexico with members of his church to build homes for poor families. Scott is the 'Leatherneck' of Red Wagon. |

Jim Herwitz, Writer
Creative Director |
His first job in Advertising? Mailroom boy at Filene's in Boston.
In order to avoid becoming a 'mailroom man' at Filene's in Boston, Jim refined his skills with a mail cart to such dazzling proficiency that it caught the eye of the creative director who gave him a shot at writing copy.
From there he went to work for agencies in Chicago, including Foote Cone & Belding, Bozell & Jacobs, Lee King & Partners and Tathum Laird & Kudner, where he was a copywriter, copy supervisor, associate creative director and co-creative director.
With them, he produced advertising for video games, hotel chains, bowling balls, banks, soap, soft drinks, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter, beer, pizza, corned beef hash, cigarettes, and antacid. But that's ancient history.
He has worked directly with clients including Coca Cola, Bigsby & Kruthers, Narada Records, Dreyers Grand Ice Cream, Isuzu, Golden Grain, LA Gear, Harrah's Casinos, Disneyland and Euro Disneyland.
Most recently Jim has worked with the Forest Glen Winery, Rutherford Vineyards, Sterling Wines, Healthshop.com as well as The Beef Council, Kikkoman, Intel, Netscape, Acura, Mazda, Pillsbury, Keen.com and Freixenet. |

Ali Greenwell, Art Director,
Project Coordinator |
Growing up in and around San Francisco, there was never any doubt in Ali's mind about devoting her life to creativity. Art, culture and all manner creativity emanate from the city in ways that are truly inspirational. She started early on, always with a camera in her hand, and from that point her path was clear.
She packed up her portfolio of photos and headed off to pursue a degree in communication design, then enrolled in the Art Direction program at the Miami Ad School in San Francisco. For a year she took classes instructed by the local Ad greats of the Bay Area, then went on to spend six months studying the art of strategic advertising in London. Working with teams from BBH, TBWA, and Saatchi & Saatchi. But where she recieved her real education was out in the real world. She has lived in five different countries and backpacked through more than 20, observing art, design, and of course, advertising.
With graduation came an internship at Y&R in New York. After the stint with that advertising giant, she freelanced around the city for about a year before finding herself back home on the West Coast at Red Wagon. |
